Debra Tucker, CMP

Before creating Debra Tucker Associates, a full-service meeting, exhibit and special

event management company in 1995, Debby Tucker was the Vice President, Meetings

and Expositions for the National Association of Convenience Stores for seven years. 

Prior to NACS she was the Director of Meetings and Conventions for the American

Society of Consultant Pharmacists for ten years after working for other non-profit

organizations.  
 

In more than 30 years as a meeting and event professional, Debby has managed

meetings/events for both non-profit associations and corporations; as small as 2 to as

large as 18,000 with exhibits covering the space of 450,000 gross square feet.  

 

Active in professional associations, she also served on numerous committees with the Professional Convention Management Association for more than 20 years.   She

was on the charter Board of Directors for the PCMA Capital Chapter.   Debby was

the 1998 Chair for the Washington, DC Chapter of the International Association for

Exposition Management. 

She was one of the first meeting planners in 1988 to earn her Certified Meeting

Professional designation and in 1999 she was one of the first graduates of the

PCMA Masters Program in Meeting Planning.


Debby's goal is to get Congress to pass a law that would allow 36 hour days and

10 day weeks in order to get everything done that needs to be done.
